This work is made possible by a generous grant awarded to the artist from Arts Council England. Please reach out for further information on the artist, to arrange a studio visit or for sales enquiries. ~ Blinky Bellas multi-disciplinary practice manifests as ceramic stoneware, porcelain sculptures and acrylic paintings on silk onto which previous drawn diagrams of political and spiritual ideas have migrated as tender and playful marks. The optimistic and accessible diagrams from which the works stem contain ideas on societal healing and antidotes to our conditions under late capitalism. The sculptures are hand made using the ‘pinch pot’ method, humble in scale, the haptic and therapeutic nature of their construction, as well as the connection of the clay to the earth makes their creation meditative, primal and healing - in line with the ideas that underpin them. The forms become playfully malformed ornaments, symbolising antidotes, balms and salves to our current landscape. They and the paintings emerged out of ideas around the power of play, how violent systems can be interrupted through softness and small radical acts, ‘flipping’ the dominant narrative. ~ Their works are included in collections including the Société Générale Collection of Female Painters, Marcelle Joseph’s Girlpower Collection, Hogan Lovells, Priseman Seabrook Collection and the V&A Print Collection. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/578158fdf5e2316f63d87952/1588252801320-KE06AXGXTI38B7MAYN9C/Screenshot+2020-04-14+at+11.47.24.png Exhibitions + News https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/578158fdf5e2316f63d87952/6f7b63b7-8e41-453e-b2d7-8c704f8ea065/lure+-+story+1.jpg Exhibitions + News - Make it stand out Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/578158fdf5e2316f63d87952/cb5ed664-6487-4eca-b92f-7e970c93fd4b/JB+promo.jpg Exhibitions + News - Make it stand out ‘Under Black Waters Clocks Run Slowly’ June, 2025, London. BERNABÉ ARÉVALO - JULIETA BARDERI - LULÚ LOBO - GONZALO MAGGI - FELIPE PINEDA Curated by Leo Babsky. ‘Under Black Waters, Clocks Run Slowly’, inhabits a suspended space where memory, language and perception become fluid. The artworks presented here navigate territory where time is no longer linear, instead, it pools, fractures and slows to an unmeasurable rhythm. Taking it’s title from two distant but resonant sources: a chapter in Argentinian writer Mariana Enriquez’s ‘Things We Lost in the Fire’, and a fundamental principle of Einstein’s theory of relativity— ‘moving clocks run slowly.’ Together, these references evoke submerged realities, quiet distortions, and temporal drift. This collaboration between Buenos Aires-based Intemperie Gallery and English curator Leo Babsky brings together four Argentinian and one Chilean artist, whose practices—spanning painting, sculpture, installation, and photography— draw from the tension between the visible and the obscured. History, architecture, time and language become intertwined forces, revealing narratives that drift between past and present, between forgetting and remembering. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/578158fdf5e2316f63d87952/9cea9b31-3bc3-4000-9a2a-fb2213733fb0/IMG_5344.jpg Exhibitions + News - Make it stand out Parallel LDN and LB ~ Curatorial invite you to join us for the opening celebration of PASSENGERS on 30.10.25, 6 - 9pm at DSQube, 10 Devonshire Square, Unit 4, Western Courtyard, EC2M 4YP. Inspired by our host's iconic architecture, PASSENGERS expands upon notions of liminal space that cross over into our interior lives. Arcades, tunnels and passageways are reframed as living symbols that mirror the complexities of the human condition: our desire to cross barriers, and transition between identities, histories and inner states. Echoing Devonshire Square's communal spaces and ethos, this exhibition invites you into a shared, evolving space of access, connection and discovery. Exhibiting artists: Alicia Radage Benjamin Knock Gonzalo Maggi Ilaria Merola Jonathan Roson Mau Samayoa Patrizia Ilaria Sechi Sabrina Tirvengadum Independent perfume house NOSU parfum have also created a bespoke composition for PASSENGERS, which will scent the exhibition space for the duration of the show.
